Outdoor Climbing

We will provide:
• helmets
• harnesses
• ropes and all associated hardware
• Climbing shoes (limited sizes available)
Please wear/bring along:
• footwear: trainers or light boots (grippy sole useful)
• base layer: wicking top (a cotton t-shirt is not recommended)
• mid layer: fleece/thermal
• tracksuit bottoms, cargo pants (not jeans)
• waterproof jacket (ideally windproof too)
• gloves, hat, scarf/buff
• spare clothing in case you get wet/cold (minimum: another fleece/thermal and gloves)
• small rucksack
• food and drink for the day (plenty of water!); extra energy giving food for emergencies
• sun cream/lip salve (depending on the weather)
• personal medication (asthma inhaler etc.)

Indoor Climbing/bouldering

We will provide:
• harnesses
• ropes and all associated hardware
• climbing shoes (limited sizes available)
Please wear/bring along:
• a t-shirt and a warm top (a fleece is ideal, it can be cold in an indoor wall)
• tracksuit bottoms or cargo pants (no jeans)
• a snack and a drink or money for the café (we will have a short break)
• personal medication (asthma inhaler etc.)

Hillwalking/Navigation

We will provide:
• Relevant maps (Gold NNAS should bring own)
• Compass (Gold NNAS should bring own)
Please wear/bring along:
• footwear : walking boots preferably with decent ankle support
• base layer : wicking top, a cotton t-shirt is not recommended
• mid layer : fleece/thermal
• tracksuit bottoms or cargo pants (not jeans)
• waterproofs : jacket and over trousers (if you have them), ideally windproof too
• gloves, hat, scarf/buff
• spare clothing in case you get wet/cold (minimum of another fleece/thermal and gloves)
• small rucksack
